Re: 12 days post removal - heavy bleeding, getting worried

I have had Mirena in for almost a year and no plans of taking it out anytime soon. I did have bloating in the beginning and severe cramps but I lost weight instead of gaining it. Therfore I think weight gain depends upon the person and not an actual side affect. I fear the constent heavy bleeding you all speak of onve i am ready to remove the Mirena but I have to say that I no longer have the severe cramps I had prior to Mirena and sure do enjoy my pantyliner only periods now that my body has adjusted to it. All the blogs I have read indicate only a few months of use and this is not enough time for your body to adjust. Lets all remember you are inserting an unknown object into your body just like anything else your body is going to react and then it will adjust.
