4 months after removal

Hi Ladies

After reading this site 4 months ago I decided to have the marina coil removed. The procedure was uncomfortable (not painful) and they struggled to find it at first but thankfully it was finally taken out.
The 6 months I had the coil in was living hell. I gained almost 28lbs in weight, became depressed, had mood swings, low sex drive and was tired all the time. Prior to having the coil inserted I was a very healthy and fit 36 year old who excercised 4/5 times per week and ate properly.
I was hoping that I would return to 'normal' straight after having the coil removed however after quite a lot of research I have been advised that a womans body and hormones can take up to 2 years to recover from the imbalance the coil causes.

On a positive note, I am being treated for my weight gain, depression and hormone imbalance by having acupuncture once a week. It has already made a difference and I would highly recommend it to those of you who are still suffering.
I am a great believer in holistic therapies and this certainly works. the lady who treats me said I should be better in about 6 weeks and I cant wait!!!

Kindest regards to you all, Emma
