8 wks of hell!!!!!!

Hi i am a mother of 2 aged 39. I had the mirena fitted in nov 06, the first 2 wks were fine. On wk 3 and 4 did'nt feel right so i went to my gp, she said the mirena did'nt cause any side affects.... she done a swab ..turned out i had an infection so that was why i was'nt feeling well, lots of antibiotics and still felt the same!!! wk 5 i was still feeling very dizzy,hot flushes and very nervous. I had a couple of incidents of passing out at school,supermarket!!.Wk 6 i started to get lots of pain in my arms and pins and needles, pain in my neck ,shoulders and lots of headaches.... Went back to gp ,it was'nt the mirena, it was a muscular problem!!!!!.Wk 7 the anxiety set in, this was very scary,i could'nt sleep at night,had chest pain, night sweats the list go on. Went back to gp, told me i could be going through early menopause!!!! blood tests came back clear, was i going mad,was it all in my head? final straw was last wk/end when the anxiety was at its maximum. Mon 22 jan 07 went back to gp, put my foot down and told her to take it out now, in which she did.I am free of this evil piece of hormonal plastic which is hurting so many ladies. I will keep you updated on how i am getting on with being mirena free!!!!!!!!
