Better now!! 4 months after removal

I had the mirena coil in for only 6 weeks and suffered hugely swollen, red and sore, itchy eyelids, my right index finger swelled up for no reason, my joints ached like crazy and I had huge mood swings. I went to the Doctor three times about the swollen eyelids and swollen finger and he could find nothing wrong with me and insisted it couldn't be the mirena. I'd never had anything wrong with me like this in the past i.e. no allergies or anything. (and not one day off sick in three years). After six weeks and thinking I was a hypochondriac I had the Mirena removed which was in February this year. Since then the symptoms have slowly and consistently improved and I now am back to normal.
I can only put what happened to me down to the Mirena Coil and suggest that anyone whose body changes after trying the mirena has it removed immediately.
It does get better and is a huge relief.
