Can an actupuncture meridian be destroyed?

Hi, everyone -

I was just wondering if anyone here knows if an acupuncture meridian can be destroyed, or how heal it. Long story, but: I had a piercing through my tragus (ear). Ever since I had it done a year and a half ago, strange things have been happening to my skin.

I read tonight that the area of my ear where I had my piercing is the exact location where the meridian is. To be more exact, this is the diagram I found (it's number 19 that I was looking at):

I 've taken out my piercing. I'm hoping that it'll heal quickly, but if there's any way I can speed along I'd be more than happy to know.
