cannot feel the strings of Mirena

Hi,
After i had my Mirena in i have all these side effects that are described in this forum- hair loss, headache, acne, leg pain, pain everywhere, especially in my abdomal. But the thing is that i cannot see the strings. When i had an appointment with my doctor he said that everything is normal and i dont need to check for Mirena, i don't have to feel the strings. pap was normal, everything was ok. So doc said it's probably in my head also. So I've got an appointment to my doc again, but it's only in a month and i cannot go anymore like this. I hate Mirena and how i feel now. I dont have any energy, like i did before, i feel like i'm 99year old not 24. I have everyday spotting for the last 6 months, and this spotting is dark brown color. I dont like that.
So my question would be how can i check for these Mirena strings, maybe i could try to pull these strings and remove Mirena myself?
