OMG this Mirena thing is scary!!! I have been so hopeless, depressed, and suicidal the past two months. I almost lost my job because of my mood swings and my hair is thinning!!! i don't mind the weight gain, needed it but will my hair grow back?? I had this put in in October 2008 and that day i was bed ridden with excruciating cramps and still get sharp shooting pains. I only decided to get on this because of my ovarian cysts i suffer with, but i am now reading that 12 % of women still get the cyst, which is may be the reason for the sharp shooting pains. the spotting goes on for 2 weeks or more. i am getting this out asap? i hear paraguard also causes hair loss. So my question, besides for the pill, what is a safe birth control?
