Concerns please help

I have the Mirena inserted at the end of jan 07. since then it has been hell. I bled from 2/4/07-4/10 and then 4/15-5/27. I couldn't locate the strings so i went in for my follow up and they couldn't locate them either and sent me for a sonogram. They saw it but didn't say where and there now is a possibility of polyps or fibroids, I always have cramping and this isn't what I thought it was going to be. Anyone going through the same thing? What was the outcome?
