i went to the ER with dizziness and great pain in my right thigh, was called a liar after a clean ultrasound, and then sent home without an answer. I researched it and the best i can come up with is a pinched nerve, as no clots were detected. If you have the iud it could be a clot, so you might want to go have that checked out. be sure to tell them about the iud and tell them others online have experienced this, and if you are having thyroid issues-
· Fatigue
· Cravings for sweets or carbohydrates
· Weight gain
· Hot flashes and night sweats
· PMS
· Feeling depressed or overwhelmed
· Mood swings or irritability
· Insomnia or restless sleep
· Headaches
· Loss of desire
· Fuzzy thinking
· Digestive issues
· Stiffness or joint pain
· Anxiety
· Heart palpitations
· Breast pain
· Adult acne
· Urinary dysfunction
· Unwanted hair growth
· Hair loss
· Dry skin
· Vaginal dryness
· Irregular periods

you might want to have it removed. I have suffered 19 of these, plus the leg pain. good luck
