Doctor's will not admit Mirena side effects!!

Why do the Doctor's not accept that Mirena causes side effects. I've visited this site several times and so many women can't be wrong. When I've mentioned my hair loss and acne to several G.P's they have all denied that Mirena causes them. What have they got to hide? I had mine removed for good yesterday (20th March 2007) and got sterilised. I knew I didn't want any more children so why tamper with my hormones. My side effects with Mirena were hair loss and acne. I have had two mirena's, the first one I expelled, and shortly after insertion and the expulsion my symptoms began. I have had Mirena for roughly 3 years altogether and the side effetcs tend to vary from mild to severe. I am almost guaranteed to lose my hair again now while my hormones settle down, I am hoping my acne improves too. Not looking forward to the return of my periods but that's life. I'll keep you posted.
