enlarged stomach, hard as a rock??

I have a enlarged stomach that makes me look like I am 5 mths pregnant, but was told I have GERD/Acid Reflux. I am on a drug callded protonix, which is not helping me with my stomach being so bloated. I am taking thyroid med/Synthroid 137mcg and Cytomel-5mcg. I am thinking my symthoms are because of my thyroid meds. GI MD's found nodule on my stomach and wants me to have surgery but says not related to my problems with my enlarge stomach. Anybody know what it can be?? I am about thinking about going to a Naturalpathic Dr for answers. Need Help. Thanks
