Re: Essiac - the alternative solution

My wife was diagnosed with cancer in both her lungs. She had known about
the fact that she had emphysema from a former health provider but she and I still smoked cigarettes. We both suffered from chronic bronchitis every winter and just couldn't "shake " it.
To make a long story short, the first three doctors didn't give any hope, but she took the chemo therapy for several months. At the same time, I had got on the web and started readinf articles about the " Essiac ".
After completing the chemo therapy, her doctor started talking about "maintenance" therepy without
mentioning radiation treatment whichwe assumed was the next step.
I gfot very upset and asked the doctor what he meant. He replied that she had maybe 8 months to live and this maintenance therapy would prolong her life to some extent. I came undone on him because I felt deceived and the look on my wife's face told me that she had given up. She had lost her hair, her blood was in terrible shape and she was sick ( very ) most of the time. She would spend days in bed, too weak to function. We changed doctors until we found the right one who was willing to fight for her. It ended up that they could operate on her lungs ( both in succession ) one year ago. They followed that with radiation treatment and she is to get a checkup soon on the anniversary of her operation. They couldn't believe how much the tumors had shrunk. If that hadn't occured, operating wouldn't have been an option. They also were amazed that the cancer hadn't spread anywhere else.
