Eyelash lost due to eyelash extension

Hi,
I had my eyelashes extended five weeks ago.
Three weeks ago the fake eyelashes began to fall off, but some of my real eyelashes fell off as well.
New eyelashes has not begun growning where the original were as far as I can see. So my questions are:
Is it likely that the eyelash follicle has be damaged by the glue which is used with the fake eyelashes and what can I do if this is the case?
If the follicles are not damaged how long time should I expect to wait until the new eyelashes will appear?
