Hair loss at end of Mirena life-span

I've had a Mirena IUD in place for about 4.5 years, since 11/06. I have never had any problems. In the last few weeks I've had significant hair loss. I am wondering if it is because the Mirena is reaching its expiration date. Has anyone else experienced this?
