Hormones, mirena, yeast infections

I had the nuvaring in the US. Moved to the UK August 2005 and had to get the pill, they don't have the nuvaring in the UK. Got yeast infection after yeast infection, month after month - just before my period. My gyno thought the mirena might help that go away, well it didn't. I now am having major abdominal cramping after a workout and I think it's mirena related. I have checked it and its still there, the threads. I like the mirena coil, but I hope this isn't the start of another problem in that area. My fiancee and i have had enough with the infections, I can't take anything else preventing us from a healthy s*x life.
