I got mine removed today
I am so happy that my husband found this website! I have had countless tests to determine what is wrong with me with all returning in the normal range. I was begniing to think that I was losing my mind. I definately have lost my body! I got the mirena 4 months ago and ever since I have had constant pain in my uterus, major bloating (I look like I am 5 months pregnant), joints that ache, ankle pain (I even had a doppler) and just this weekend I started feeling morning sickness coming and going throughout the day which still continues. I have gained 2 sizes in just four months going from a size 8 to a size 10 despite a vegetarian diet and regular exercise. The weight just kept coming on and on and I couldn't seem to stop it. My doctor kept insisting that the mirena was not causing these symptoms. I was told this was the best birth control device ever with no side effects. If I had found this website I never would have considered getting it. I just hope that now I can get my health back. I don't understand why these side effects have not been published. It almost seems like a conspiracy. I feel very, very, mislead.
