I found consumer information about the Mirena which lists weight gain as an undesireable effect listed under other side effects on the following website:

by the way are any of you who had their Mirena removed feeling better yet? if so how long did it take, had mine out 3 wks ago and still feeling crappy although my rashes are gone!
