Irregular bleeding

I've already been on the coil for 5 years and recently had a new one reinserted. However it has been nearly 5 months and my periods are highly irregular either spotting constantly or normal.. at the moment I havent had a period for a month... Is this normal? Please can someone help as am beginning to get worried!
