Irregular bleeding after Mirena Removal

had my Mirena IUD out 4 weeks ago today and it has been a disaster of spotting and bleeding since- mostly red blood. I started taking the pill just a few days after it was taken out and I am still bleeding and developed a terrible Yeast infection since I have been wearing mini pads for 6 months already (thats why I got it out)!!!! I would never recommend this to. I called my Doctor yesterday and she tiold me to double up on my pills for 5 days and that should put a stop to the bleeding but I am really not confident in her advice. This is crazy when will it stop how many more momths will I have crazy bleeding? I did not have any heavy clotting bleeding like some others but I definatley have had red bleeding almost every day.
