It out!!
I had mine in for just over 2 years. I had it put in before I moved to the state where I now reside. I chose this because my dr said that I would have minimal weight gain and very few side effects. BIG MISTAKE. With the move, new job, new everything, leaving my family behind I thought these were all the cause of my symptoms. It was Mirena!! My husband and I read this site and it describes my symptoms exactly. I talked with the nurse practioner removing my coil. She said that it is not unusual!! Well somebody should tell Bayer! It was a pinch and then a couple of cramps. I was prepared for the worst cramping bleeding etc. I nearly cried as I was getting dressed I felt so relieved. I felt like I was going to be ok again. I still have some symptoms and the np did verify that it could take up to 2 years for my body to readjust but that is better than continuing to get worse, continuing gaining weight (50lbs so far), continuing to become devil woman.
I am so thankful to all of you for sharing, letting me know that I am not alone in this nightmare!
