Love Mirena (some hair loss)

I'm so surprised how many women hate the mirena or did not know about all the side effects. I did my research and decided to try it. Initial cramping was not great. Actually better than what my physician told me to expect. I've had the Mirena for 2 1/2 years and it's fabulous! I'm 43, 2 kids - and not wanting more. Always had irregular periods - now they're gone. I still get menstrual cramps and irritability (from time to time) that came with my menstrual cycle, but no bleeding! I've had no weight gain, no irritability other than what I've written above, sex drive is there. I will say that in my 30's, my sex drive was nil. When I turned 40, bingo! My only concern is hair loss. I'd describe my hair loss of "male pattern" hair loss - above my temples on each side of my scalp. Nothing major, but it happened. Am assuming that side effect will go away once Mirena is removed at year 5. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to counter this hair loss. Anyone tried anything that helped? At this point, I will definitely have another Mirena inserted if I'm not in the pre-menopause stage, which I'm not looking forward to.
