major weight gain

I have had my IUD for a year and if it wasn't for the 50 pounds I have gained I would love it! I called my GYN and asked them if the iud could cause this and was almost laughed at. My PCP is ready to send me to specialist to test me for Cushings syndrom. I called my gyn to see about getting it removed before we started all the testing but had to wait almost a month before she could see me. So, I am going to my PCP later today to have it removed. In a way I am going to miss not having to deal with the periods but I am pushing a size 18, when I got the device I was in a size 6!! I am hoping the weight will start to drop off.
