I'm glad that you are happy as well as your colleagues, that's what we all strive for, but I think it is a little presumptive to think that simply being MD or DO will make one happy. The best thing people can do is to evaluate their personal values and goals, think about what type of medicine they want to practice, education themselves on all forms of medical approach and the various schools and try to determine where they belong. After 2 years of exploring all the different options - MD, DO, DC and ND - I found that what I want to accomplish in my approach to helping people heal is ND. Educate, educate, educate and then you are able to make an informed decision, not based on someones simplistic answer, you'll find happy and unhappy people in all areas of life and career.
