Being that I wasn't able to get mine out the other day due to complications ( told ou about it in my original blog) I don't know about the weight thing but I am very hopeful. My stomach is very large and bloated but I also have IBS and am not sure if it's becuase of that or the mirena. I'm having the mirena surgically removed in October and I although I'm not happy about having to go through an evasive mode of getting it out, I'll be happy to close this chapter of the birth control drama.
