Mirena and hair loss

I had Mirena for about a year. 5 months post insertion my hair thinned by about a third, and my temple areas were noticeably thinner, the scalp peeping through. No periods, which was great, but had spots and a little weight gain. Hair seemed to stop shedding, but still seemed to be thinning, so I had Mirena removed at Christmas. I went back on a conbined oral contraceptive pill and multivitamins. My hair has regrown in the thinning areas by about a half inch. Thank goodness. Still spotty and haven't lost weight, but have been overeating!! It's a shame it didn't suit me because it is VERY reliable and the lack of periods is fab, the everything else sucked. So glad my hair is coming back. Good luck girls.
