Mirena displaced

I was just told from a doctor that the mirena had poked a hole out of my uterus. And now I will have to do surgery to get it out. But there may be some complication that the mirena will have to stay in me for life depending on the location of the mirena. I am so scare to get surgery. Never had one done, never thought this could happen to me. Please Help
