mirena is gone
Just like all the other stories. I have had my Mirena in since 10/20/05. I have gained 19 pounds and 3 1/2 inches around my waist!!!! I have been eating healthier and exercising 3-4 days a week since mid January. I have not lost 1 pound. My stomach has went from 2 rolls when I sit down to 3 very large rolls. I have swelling in my fingers which I only had when I was preganant. I kept searching the information on Mirena but it only said that this was not a common side effect. Well HELLO, they need to get on some of these forums and take a look. I have been having leg, hip, and low back pain since the day I had this thing put in. It did get better for a few weeks but now is so bad that I feel like I am 70 years old (only 29). I have an appointment on 3/30/06 to have it removed. I will keep you all posted about weight loss and the other symptoms. Yes I too have the oily skin and acne, bloating pregnant look, and moodiness. I have never had problem taking birth control pills but all the pill I have been on did not contain the Progestin. Hope others find this site prior to getting it put it. It may save them a lot of money and a LOT of problems.
