Mirena nightmare
I had Mirena inserted in July 05. After wanting to have another baby earlier than expected my husband and I decieded I should get it taken out so in May 06 I went in to have it removed. Well the doctor said she could'nt find the string. I was like ok so she tried to retrieve it under a local but it was to painful. She told my she was going to take me to the operating room and put me to sleep so I would be more comfortable. 2 days later I go in for surgery, Well i wake up 3 hours later with a badage on my abdomen. She tells me when she went in to retrieve it it was not there! So she did an x-ray and found the damn thing attached outside my right fallopian tube. She had to get emergency consent from me husband in the waiting room to preform larposcopic surgery. It was a horrible experience. And of coarse she does'nt know how it got out of my uterus. I had no pain. Luckily for the change in my husbands and mine mind to have another baby, or else I could of got pregnant with that damn thing in my body floating around. Please have yours checked regulary I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone else.
