I got mine out exactly 4 weeks ago. After 6 months of having it in, my body was already trying to reject it. It had a pea sized amount of tissue that had already grown around where the strings are attatched. The next day after having it out, I was already feeling less bloated, & irritable. I had gained 15 pounds in 6 months after getting it in. Before I had it taken out, I measured myself everywhere (chest, upper abs, lower abs, waist, hips, thighs, arm) Then each week after that, I'd weigh myself, and measure myself. I am very happy to say that today, 4 weeks later, I have officially lost 4.5 lbs and a total of 10 inches. JUST BY GETTING IT REMOVED. I will NEVER do it again. I've come to the conclusion that our bodies weren't made to have hormone releasing foreign objects in them and that it's not natural to NOT have a period every month like it was meant to. I will take the bleeding of my normal period any day over what this has done to me. This screwed my body up just like the pill did 10 years ago.
