Mirena Removed 3/2007
OMG!!! I have read just about EVERYONE'S posts. I stumbled across this website entirely by accident while I was looking at CNN Health reports. It was not until I read through these posts that I now beleive that the Mirena is the sneaky little cuplrit of all the problems I have been having. I had it inserted in 1/2005 after my second child was born. Insertion was uncomfortable but bearable. I breastfed for 18 mos (a little longer than planned) and in that time I did not have any real issues. I lost all the baby/pregnancy weight and then some (YEAH!) thanks to the magic of breastfeeding BUT...the moment I stopped breastfeeding and my hormones changed my body just changed too. I have been sick since October and it is 6 months later and I am still sick with what has now become Sinusitis and an upper respiratory infection. I have without reason gained all the weight back..30lbs (with a family wedding around the corner...great)! And hate how I look and feel. I now experience irregular cramping and discharge 3 or more times a month and terrible moodiness which I always dismissed on my poor husband and children getting on my nerves. I get frequent migraines now. Even when I have to urinate it seems different like my body doesn't sense I have to go until I am completely full. I have terrible lower back spasms that are unbearable and I have acne like a teenager. I am going to call the doctor tomorrow and schedule my Mirena to be removed!
