mirena removed..heavy bleeding x 13 days!

Someone please tell me I am not alone. I had mirena removed 15 days ago. Very little pain and no problems w/ removal. I started my period 2 days later and have had extremely heavy bleeding, clotting, etc. So bad that today at work, at 9 am, it had leaked out my tampon and stained my clothes! I loved mirena when it was in...I was a lucky one w/ no periods/problems for 4 years. I'm sure making up for it now. Anyone else have a similar experience??
