Mirena the cause??

I had Mirena inserted 3 months after the birth of my son. I had never done well with Oral Cont. but was told this was different b/c hormones are localized. Had shooting pain in left leg on insertion and was told it would be uncomfortable. It hurt for nearly a week. Bled for 3 months straight (though not as heavy as before) and continue to have a dark discharge daily. I have dealt with "Post-partum" constant fatigue, NO sex drive, moodiness, weight gain (had lost most in 3 months post baby prior to insertion- now I look 4 months pregnant) and hair coming out by the handfulls!! I always thought this was fatigue and thyroid related (post baby hormone fluctuations). I keep dealing with leg and abdomen pain periodically that radiates into my upper limbs and chest. So I look on the internet about Mirena effects just out of curiousity and look what I find today!! I just talked with my nurse at OBGYN and she discounts all of it and says, "Thyroid, hormone fluctuations.." but lets get an ultrasound b/c the pain can't radiate into your arm and I want to say, "Well, it is!!!!!" Never had these problems before. My husband is really worried (not to mention sex deprived and on the receiving end of Cruella DeVille most of the time) and wants it out. He says he'll get snipped. I think I'm gonna let him. I had heavy periods before and hated them. The light bleeding has been great (after the 3 month straight bleeding after insertion) but not worth it. I knew it was too good to be true. What bugs me most is medical prof. telling US what is NOT happening to us!!!!!
