my Dr gave me PID with insertion of mirena

what a horrifying experince this has been. I had my mirena put in 7 weeks ago. I was ok at first then began to feel weak. I had to take a nap fr 4-5 hrs every day for 2 weeks.
I started bloating and feeling pain. Went to the Dr said my cervix was tender gave me a shot of rocefin antibiotic.
Next day woke up while napping in EXTREME pain could not move, went to the ER where they diagnosed me with Pelvic Inflammatory Disease that they say had been festering probably since insertion.

So it is out, I was in the hospital for 2 days on IV antibiotics and now at home on antibiotics for 2 weeks. WHY was the dr not using the right sterile techniques to avoid this and what can I do about it?
