Dear J.D.,
This is a very good question. Since most of my graduating class consolidated into thirty year loans, I would have to say all of them are probably still making payments.
I don't doubt that the schools are miserable at job-placement. As far as I know, very few pre-formed jobs existed for my graduating class. The expectation was that you would go forth and create a practice from the ground up.
In terms of meager earnings, it is true that N.D.s were grossing an average of sixty in the first five, but I thought over 100k was a decent later income. No, it is not comparable to an M.D. or D.O., but last time I checked, I wasn't wearing a pager that could rouse me at 3 a.m.
Are we talking about the same survey?
I hope this is helpful.
