Dear Marcia,
There are many books on acid and alkaline producing foods, which you can find via your local library or by search for acid alkaline online. Not all of them agree. Judging from the variations among my patients, it might be simpler to purchase pH paper and begin testing yourself.
My favorite patient currently varies dramatically in pH throughout the day. Water makes him very acidic, while fruit juice maintains his alkalinity. Any carbohydrate or meat product makes him acid, while all spices do not seem to affect his acidity. He is a dramatic case, but I hope he shows that whatever the book says you need to test yourself.
I hope this is helpful.
