A summary of a meta-analysis done on 5-htp. I corresponded with K. Shaw and we discussed my "adverse reactions", which were clearly side effects, not adverse or unexpected at all. GI upset, anorexia, etc., are so prevalent with 5-HTP that it is difficult to double-blind studies with 5-HTP, she said.
