What is best?

I am just completing my master's in public health, so I'm all about social justice and serving the underserved. I want to make holistic medicine mainstream (not just for the very rich); yet I still need to make a reasonable living for myself. However, I want to be able to treat people clinically in cases of emergency, such as being able to perform a caesarean (for instance). As much as I espouse the guiding principles of naturopathy, it disheartens me that others on this forum are recommending doing a NP or PA degree after ND school... because if I had to do that, I think I'd just do an MD degree instead (and study naturopathy on my own, or get an ND degree later in life). I talked to an MD family practice doctor who told me that an MD could do pretty much anything an ND could do. Although I realize his perspective is totally biased (and a bit judgemental), I was wondering if there is even a bit of truth in it. I am registered to take the MCAT in 2.5 weeks, so any perspective would be fabulous and most appreciated. Thanks so much!!
