ND? MD? which route to take

Its seems like many people here are as confused as I am. I want to be a doctor but I'm not sure which route I want to take. I am very interested in Naturopathy but I'm not sure if that is the best way to go. Can I make a good living as an ND? Should I become an MD instead but incorporate natural methods in my practice? Any advice would be great. Also, does anyone know anything about the licensing in Illinois?
