Sleep Apnea Solution for 7 Yr old.

Suggestions??? Our seven year old daughter has sleep apnea (father had it as well. Taken care of successufully with surgery.) Her tonsils are at a 3+. She has no evidence of infections or other illness that would cause the enlarged tonsils. The ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) Doctor suggested removing her tonsils and adenoids. He said he could give her antibiotics and it might reduce the swelling, but that it would return in 6 months.
