Arizona allows naturopaths to call themselves NMDs. There's no difference in training or scope of practice from an ND.

Some non-licensed naturopaths in states that don't have licensing laws also call themselves NMDs. More common in the south, I think.

Finally, some MD's who practice naturopathy recieve "NMD" degrees from naturopathic correspondance schools

Doesn't clear things up much. But that's the state of naturopathy in the US.
