bad taste in my mouth caused by sugar

I have a stupid sounding question! About 15 years ago I was diagnoised was a hypoglycemic. I have noticed for many years, that if I eat bread or anything with high sugar content. I have this terrible taste in my mouth. The only thing that will help is to brush my teeth and tongue.
