Yep, pretty good chance of doing in the bacteria in the microwave. To avoid a bitter die off taste, its better to dissolve the miso in warm water and add it to the hot soup at the very end. Reheating slowly on the stove should work, but watch for the bitter taste. It's best made fresh in small quantities.
