White Blood Cells on Cervix/ Nausea

When I had my mirena removed, I was told that I had an overwhelming amount of White Blood Cells on my cervix, which my Doctor then told me some women get in response to the IUD, which in turn may have been causing the extreme nausea that I was getting. In response to the IUD your body produces the white blood cells, trying to get rid of the "unwanted" object... I think that if your body is trying to fight to get rid of it, it's probably not a good thing to keep... wondering if anyone else has been told this and how long after removal the symptoms continued. My nausea seemed to immediatly go away, but I still feel a bit "foggy."
