HELP!! the other day after i brushed my teeth and gums, i noticed that the inside of my mouth felt burned, then last night i noticed that the skin on my gums was peeling like a sunburn would. i left the toothbrush in my mouth for a while.. while i was online, it felt like it was eating away at the skin in my mouth, its colgate total, what would cause this...does anyone know of any infections or diseases that this could be a symptom of? or is this just likely a reaction to my toothpaste?it is less painful now, just feels kinda raw. i recently got off a birth control that really tampered with my hormones...read somewhere online that menopausal women or those on bc are more at risk for developing gum disease and such, any insight or advice would be appreciated
