Gait Problem
Hi, I had Sepsis and my temp was 104 and BP went to 70/40 and was in the hospital for alittle over a month. I now have the non heriditary Ataxia. I have been in physical therepy in house and start Monday with out patient. I also do balance exercises at home and am just starting on the treadmill. I am told that this should resovle itself over time. My question is what is the average time for healing and will I heal? I can not find much info on this subject. Also is there anything else I can do to help myself. I could only walk 5 feet with a walker within 2 weeks of coming home from the hospital. Now 6 weeks later I am walking with a quad cane by myself on flat smooth surfaces and outside with someone with me and then sometimes with assistance of someones arm or them holding onto my beltloop. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
