It can be a real reality check... I am still trying to get over the side effects of the mirena and it's been 5 months. I had anxiety and hair loss, among most every other symptom you can imagine... it really was a nightmare for me. The doctor just wanted to put me on antidepressants and go on with life... needless to say , I had it removed, but am still trying to get back to normal. My periods are finally back, though I am now having to have bloodwork to see if my thyroid is working correctly... don't know if all of this is related, but the not sleeping well, the fatigue, the hair loss, the anxiety, the itchiness, and irritated eyes, all point to your thyroid... hope things get better now that it's out... nothing worse than trying to do all of this and keeping a family together. If things don't subside, keep in touch- i think it can really mess up your whole hormone system. I'll keep it posted on the tests.
