I found this site yesterday, and along with rereading my Mirena materials and other places about contraception, I am saddened to say that I did not know/did not understand how this thing worked and that it allows a fertilized egg (if it got that far) to pass out of me because of the purposeful thinning of the lining of the uterus. I am very sad that I may have been the cause of aborting any babies that may have passed the 1st 2 blockades. I also found out that the Pill and my NuvaRing did the same thing so I have 15 years of possibly inflicting harm on an unborn child. I have no way of knowing if this ever happened, nor how often if it did, but I am sickened at the thought of it as it was NEVER my intention. I wil be pursuing NFP with Lady-Comp from now on as it is just as effective as the pill/nuvaring, etc without the hormones and regret. Good luck ladies
