Don't mess around with kidney infections. Kidney disease is linked to Diabetes. As most know you don't die from Diabetes but from all of the other health problems caused by Diabetes. Untreated kidney infections can lead to kidney failure. ESRD (end stage renal disease) can set in quickly. At the age of 52 my mother ignored her DR recommendation to see a Nephrologists in 8 months she was starting Dialysis. She has been on Dialysis for 7 years now and has the body of an 80 year old.
I of course don't recommend putting a bunch of medicines in your body but be proactive about your health. Do your research on Diabetes and Kidney Health. Look for sites sponsored by ADA and NKF.
