After I had a problem with a small cut not healing on my hand a few years ago I was put on to two different types of antibiotics, then an anti-fungal and was puzzling my doctors because it didn't fit a classic infection. It looked horrible and oozy and bumpy, but there was no infection.
Now every once in a while, though not every time, when a cut on my body is healing it does two things -- it takes a long time to heal (2-4 weeks for a superficial wound) and as its healing I get an allergic reaction around the area (very itchy with the raised bumps.)
Along the way one doc suggested with the original cut I have sensitivity to sulfa drugs.
Anyone offer a perspective on what I can do to help boost the underlying problem? My immune system has always been very strong, I get over illness quickly, I eat 3 square meals a day with protein/veg/whole grains and drink only water and lots of it.
Any perspectives would be appreciated.
