My husband was recently diagnosed with it as well. One of the options that was discussed with him was some kind of dental object. http://www.aadsm.org/
Also, my brother had bad sleep apnea, but had surgery and it went away. There are a couple different kinds of surgery, one is fairly new and not a lot of docs have heard of it, that's the kind my brother had. I don't remember the name of it, but your husband's doctor might know. Good luck, it's a miserable condition and I hope you both find help.
